Here you can see pieces of Emma's work - both past and present, many of which are available for purchase.
About
Beginning at the age of 16, Emma was immediately captured by the wonderful craft of woodturning. Working with wood has always brought her much joy and today she loves using her turning and carving skills to make beautiful pieces of art using the material she fell in love with over 25 years ago.

Emma's Portfolio of Work
Woodturning
Emma's primary skill lies in her work on the lathe. Not only does she enjoy creating turned pieces of art in natural timbers, she also enjoys playing with textures and colours and has developed her own colouring system - similar to the process of gilding - with her signature Chameleon Colours.
Her range of woodturned pieces is broad and she enjoys combining other mediums within her work -something she is constantly striving to evolve.
Carving
Emma received a great deal of carving tuition from Master Carver Michael Painter over a 10 year period during which she learned the skills of hand carving using traditional tools and techniques.
Though she does not have much time to practise these skills today, she enjoys combining them with her woodturning in the form of creating unique textures and forms.
Fun Pieces
In addition to her more artistic pieces, Emma loves to make work which encompasses her fun side. Many of these pieces have been demonstrated to clubs and organisations throughout the UK, US and Europe but nevertheless she gets great pleasure from making something a little less serious sometimes and that can allow her to flex her other crafting abilities that have been present in her since she was a child making anything and everything she could!
